Vigilante 77 Rally

Vigilante 77 is a multi-day rally experience built around great roads, great people, and one of Montana’s most iconic historic towns. Based out of Virginia City, Montana, the rally offers two distinct routesrunning at the same time: a Dirt Rally and a Road Rally, each designed to deliver a different kind of adventure while bringing everyone back together each evening for a shared event atmosphere.
The Dirt Rally
is built for drivers looking to explore the mountains, back roads, and rugged terrain surrounding Virginia City. Expect long days in the seat, scenic stops, and the kind of remote driving that makes Montana special. Dirt Rally participants should expect roughly 4–6 hours of driving per day, with breaks whenever we can find a creek, river, or swimming hole worth cooling off in.

The Road Rally
is designed for drivers who want to experience some of the best paved roads in the region. Starting in Virginia City, the route will move on to two additional destinations, linking together scenic highways, mountain roads, and destination stops along the way. Road Rally participants can expect approximately 300 miles of driving per day.
3 Nights at the Fairweather Inn - Starting at $1,125
Evenings are built around the town and the experience of being there together. Your rally entry will include access to Friday night entertainment in Virginia City, with two live show options to choose from, as well as a pop-up drive-in movie night, live music and hot springs.
Lodging and participation will be intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate, capable, and built for the kind of adventure this rally is meant to deliver. For the Dirt Rally, lodging in Virginia City will be limited to just 15 cabin spots and 10 camping spots, keeping the basecamp tight and the group small. The Road Rally will be capped at 12 total entries, allowing for a more focused, high-quality experience on the road.
For those wanting to keep the adventure going, both routes offer ways to extend the experience beyond the main event. The Dirt Rally will include optional additional camping days after the three nights in Virginia City, while the Road Rally will have the option continue on for two additional days after the Virginia City portion of the event.
